Visiting Cape Town for the First Time
Cape Town is the administrative capital of South Africa. It is considered the second largest city and home to the Parliament.
It is situated at the shores of Table Bay and come up as a result of activities of the people of Holland who started anchoring their ships while sailing across the sea.
Cape Town is the best economic centre in the area. There are various manufacturing companies that have set their bases. The biggest airport in the region serving both the local and international visitors and the modern harbor constructed at the sea side.
The metropolis boasts of three major tribes in the region. They are the Xhosa, the Afrikaans and the English tribes. But there are other tribes that are found within the region like the Asians who are the main business partners.
Because of the good climatic settings, it has been known as the popular tourist centers. It is also centrally placed with modern roads, rail and air transport facilities. The most attractive feature in the town is the Table Mountains inside the National park where a variety of wild life can be found.
Hiking is the most used means to reach the mountains. There are many beaches that can be seen by visitors. If you want to know about the local cultural connections, then you can visit the Victoria and Alfred water spots that were constructed at the top of the docking sites.
Cape Town is also known as a communication centre with a number of newspapers and magazines setting up their bases here. There are many radio and television centers supplying information to residents of the region.
If you love sports, then you can watch or participate in football, cricket, rugby and the swimming. During the recently concluded world cup, there were new stadiums built with one semi finals being hosted here.
