The video quality is really impressive and the prices have reduced a lot since the time the camcorders first came into being. HD camcorders are more expensive, if you have a strict budget then get a non HD one for yourself.

But the price is a bit high ranging within fifteen hundred dollars. Canon vista has several model numbers and their features are different from one another. Panasonic also has a wide range of camcorder models. If budget is a factor to you then go for the Panasonic HD model that is priced four hundred bucks.
