The concept of Placental Mammals cannot be treated or discussed completely without making reference to human nature. However, humans are the major origin of placental mammals and the females normally keep their unborn babies inside their womb for a longer period waiting for the day of delivery.However, in course of examining the true nature of Placental Mammals, it is important to note that there is a specially made inner organ of the female called the uterus, or womb, which keeps the baby throughout the developing stages. This uterus is linked to the mother, such that the baby will continue to get oxygen and sustenance from the placenta pending the delivery period and likelihood of existing in the external world.During the development stages of human through the Placental Mammals, human babies normally stay up to nine months in the womb before delivery. The Elephant is an animal that carries baby in the womb for a period of two years before delivers the baby and there is no other animal, which keeps a baby in its womb for such period.

In addition, there are several descriptions concerning other mammals and their existence. They have body hair with three bones found in the middle ear and four different chamber hearts. Records have it that their body warmth is separately kept in check from the surrounding, and female babies are fed with milk.In fact, there are confirmations that over 4,000 species Mammals have been in existence in the entire world and they are segregated into nineteen to twenty-six orders. Even, from the available research and findings, the Largest Mammals in the world have been described as the blue whale while the smallest is known as kitti’s hog-nosed bat. The mammalian class is separated into three subordinate categories called Placental mammals Monotremes, and the Marsupials.
