Titled Eat Little Pig Eat
Part of raising pig is the proper way to feed them because the pigs will eat a lot of food quickly. Pigs need a high energy diet that is low in fiber and contains some proteins. The old saying “Eating like a pig” is correct since the animal will eat anything it can and will continue to shove things into their face until there is no more to eat. A farmer who wants to raise healthy pigs must make sure that they are given a healthy diet of the right balance of food when feeding the pigs.Farm grains such as corn are the common things that are given to pigs to eat because of its high digestive carbohydrates, low in fiber, and are very tasty to the pigs.
There are two types of classification for pigs and they are the growing and finishing pigs. Growing pigs are any pig that weighs between the weights of forty to one hundred and twenty five pounds. The finishing pigs are the ones that weight between one hundred and twenty five to two hundred and thirty pounds. As a pig grows, the amount of dietary protein also increases and the pigs should be switched from the growing (nutrient dense/more protein) to the finishing (less dense) diet when the pigs weigh about one hundred and twenty five pounds.
Feeding a pig food, it should be dumped into a deep tough, so they can eat as much as they want to and the pigs will know when they have had enough to eat. Don’t try to feed them more when they walk away because they will know when they have had enough.
Water is as important to a pig as their food is and about one half to two thirds of the pig’s body is water weight. Pigs should be given as much water as they can drink and as much food as they can eat.
