The genitals herpes disease is most commonly diagnosed. Both males and females suffer from the genital herpes disease are caused by the virus herpes simplex 1. The oral herpes disease is caused by the virus simplex 2.
This mainly gets transformed by direct contact with the virus affected skin. The symptoms will be visible from 2 to 20 days of transformation of the virus. The outbreak of the herpes disease will last for about two weeks in men and three weeks in women. Sometimes the disease is misdiagnosed as yeast infection or cervix infection in women. It is important to diagnose the disease at the earliest.
The first symptom of the disease is blisters and cold sores in the lips, mucous membrane and the genitals. This is called as herpes lumps. This is often seen over and around the genitals. It will lead to constant itching and will be painful. In women excess vaginal discharge is a common symptom. The other symptoms include swollen lymph glands, headaches and fever, muscle pains and lower back aches.
This is one of the common sexually transmitted disease. There is no permanent cure for the herpes disease. But still there are many treatments which help to reduce the itching, pain and the also delay the length between outbreaks. Toping ointments and lotions are used for reducing the blisters and itching. Many anti viral drugs like Acyclovir, Valaclovir etc can also be consumed to reduce the occurrence of the disease.
These treatments will be more effective if the disease is diagnosed in the early stage. This disease will be transmitted even before the outbreak. Hence it is better to use anti herpes vaccines.
