Some Easy Calf Muscle Exercises
Calf muscles are very important part of our lower portion of the leg. These muscles are tough and are very difficult to develop without proper exercises. There are two important muscle groups on the lower portion of our legs that helps in our movement. We can say that the lower leg muscles can be divided into 3 major segments- gastrocnemius, soleus and tibialis anterior. Out of these the first two segments are mostly worked on and the third segment (tibialis anterior) is always ignored.In order to do calf muscles exercise gastrocnemius and soleus plays an important role. Gastrocnemius is the largest calf muscle that is present in calf muscle is mostly worked on whereas soleus is just located under these gastrocnemius which helps in bending of knees and gives the calf strength for running and other physical activities. Calf muscle exercises needs to be continued for a prolonged period of time in order to have toned lower legs. It has been seen frequently that people often have stretch marks on the back of their calf muscles, this can be prevented if proper exercises are done along with full dedication.
Some of the easy calf muscle exercises that can be performed at home without the use of machineries are stretching of lower legs, stepping up and down, skipping and squatting. These are some of the easy exercises if performed religiously one can have perfectly toned calf muscles. To see quick results one can pick up certain policies and inculcate them in their regular life. These are taking stairs instead of lift, walking small distances and not taking car and most importantly a brisk walk or running in the morning works wonders and will give astonishing results to an individual. A proper toned calf muscle not only looks good but also provides strength to legs.
