Schistosomiasis
Schistosomiasis is mainly a type of infection caused by the Schistosoma parasite most often or not. Schistosomiasis is mainly caused due to contact with some contaminated water and all. The parasite actually roams and resides in bodies of contaminated water and persons coming in contact with that water usually gets in contact with the parasite as well and the parasite usually gets to start a life cycle in them. The parasite when in its infective stages is usually termed as cercaria. The parasite, when it comes in contact with the human body has a unique way of getting into the human body. It usually burrows into the human skin, then it moves on to the lungs of the human being and the liver. The way that these parasites claims entry into the human body is rather unique in nature. Other parasites may enter the body with the contaminated food that they intake and then grow inside the body. But these parasites claim entry by burrowing into the skin.
A rather unique way of getting through. As soon as it gains entry into the human skin it immediately matures to different level of their germination but when it gains entry into the lungs and liver of a human being it becomes an adult being. Another more interesting fact about these parasites is that after they have gained entry into the human lungs and liver and grown into an adult they usually move on to some other part of the human body, their preferred part in the body is accessed by them. And the most important fact regarding this is that the part that they move onto depends completely on that particular species of that parasite. The parts most commonly accessed by them is the rectum, bladder, intestines , liver , spllen and the lungs.
