First Aid Tips
It is very important to know how to act in the face of emergencies, accidents, they often can save a life or even prevent the problem from getting worse.
1. Deep Cuts
In this situation you should clean up the wound with tap water regardless of whether the wound is dirty or not. Done that, sealed with gauze or a piece of cloth or towel. Do not put anything inside the wound and contact your doctor immediately.
2. Finger Stuck in the Door
Try to calm down and put ice on site, not to form a hematoma or so for it to decrease. Do not massage the site of injury and not push the sides of the finger that was stuck when there is bleeding.
3. Burns
In this case, the injury is divided into two types and for each specific care is needed:
Thermal:
The place burned should be washed with water;
To ease the pain cover the area with a sterile band;
Retract accessories such as rings, watches and bracelets, shortly after the burn occurs swelling;
Never attempt to remove clothing stuck to the victim’s body;
Do not use ointments, butter, coffee powder, toothpaste or cooking oil, as these procedures only increase the risks of infection at the site;
Chemical:
Rinse the spot with running water for at least 20 minutes;
Remove contaminated clothing so that the chemical does not spread to other parts of the body;
If eyes are affected, rinse under running water until medical help;
Do not put oils or creams on the burn;
Pay attention to the breath of the victim while medical help is provided. Cover the burn with a sterile or clean cloth strip.
4. Electric Shocks
In this case, it is essential before providing the assistance, verify that the electric current was switched off. Only then, play the victim. If a cardiac arrest, start a chest massage and mouth to mouth resuscitation on the victim while medical help is fired.
5. Sprains and Fractures
In situations such as sprains or even fractures, you can improvise a splint of wood, a thick magazine or even newspaper, putting ice on the spot and avoiding massage. After that, with the area immobilized seek medical help.
6. Nosebleeds
How the bleeding was does not matter, regardless of whether they occurred spontaneously or after a beat, treatment is the same: put some at the place and sit or lie with your head back. If you are bleeding badly, put gauze inside the nostril. Never use cotton wool in any injury.
7. Intoxication
In these cases of poisoning, wipe your mouth with water without swallowing and seek emergency service as soon as possible.
8. Fainting and Seizures Seizure
People with seizures or fainting should be kept lying with his neck stretched. Keep the airway (mouth and nose) free and clear to avoid suffocation. Only if the members must stop if there is risk of injury to the patient or whoever is providing assistance.
