Internet – Negative Effects in the Society
The internet has become an addiction for some people. There are two reasons for that: information and freedom. There is so much to explore and we don’t feel like to leave. People search for information, music, news, chats, etc. Also, the internet offers freedom; you can do whatever you want, but all of this can have a negative effect.
People are spending too much time on the internet. Sometimes it’s for good, we have online courses, online jobs and we also can pay bills online. People are wasting time cutting out the social life, and they have been easily distracted on chatting and surfing instead of spending time with family and friends. However, we can’t blame them; after all, the internet offers more freedom than our real life.
All the freedom the internet offers can be very dangerous. Many people get stuck into the virtual world becoming a different person in the real world.
They stop caring about families, job, and responsibilities getting involved only in what the internet is offering. Using it excessively can cause confusion and mess up with people’s life. Because of the facility that internet conceives, people don’t appreciate the company of each other. Consequently, is much easier to express bad feelings and commit crimes.
Despite of all, communication and information, have never been so easy and faster to access. The internet becomes the paramount tool in these days. Actually, it becomes a great and helpful for education, entertaining and communication as well. However, people should be aware of all the information we have online.
Parents should watch their children when they are on the internet. Pornographies, crimes within many others bad influences are all spread online.
Concluding, even though the internet is essential for information and communication, but people really need to be focussed on its negative effects. However, people have to decide on their own what is better for them. Take advantage of the freedom the internet has to offer, however, we have to cultivate our awareness that stands behind our personal values.
