Botanical Gardens
A Botanical is a term derived from Botany which is a branch of Medical science. Commonly Botany is branch of knowledge which deals Plants. It means that when we think about Botanical Garden it goes towards knowledge of different plants. There are lot numbers of such gardens for research purposes. Scientists do their research work in these gardens. The pages of History tell that Scientists have made huge and unbelievable inventions during their researches in such gardens. Botanical Garden of Cagliari is one these Gardens which have utmost importance in the whole World.
Cagliari is the city where the Botanical Garden of Cagliari is situated. This city is a thriving and busy within the easy reach of Elmas Airport. There is a long history of this city which is well preserved with historic buildings. Botanical Garden of Cagliari has a surface of five hectares. It has been divided into four areas.
1: Mediterranean 2: Tropical 3: Succulent herbs 4: Medicinal herbs. Gaetano Cima a world famous architect has designed this garden. It was constructed during 18th century on a nice archaeological Hill. There are Cisterns and a well within the garden. This garden has six hundred trees, 550 shrubs and seventy five lianas which are carefully looked after. This garden has wide variety of plants unique to Sardinia.
This Garden is full of tropical plants. It means that Garden provides huge variety of research to the visitors. Now this Garden is under the tutelage of the University. Certainly students are doing research work there. There must be such gardens throughout the world. The Botanical Garden in Italy has long history behind it. Giovanni Meloni Baille who was a professor of Natural Sciences played important role in this garden at the present place. People must also know the reason of its move. The reason of its move was the presence of sea winds.
