Martin Donovan was born in California, in a middle class family. He is an American film actor as well performs on stage and television too. He completed his high school from Pierce College and graduation from Crespi Carmelite. From his young age he started attending the American theatres and also performed many plays. Suddenly he moved with his family to New York City and started looking for work there. Then he found a Cacaracha Theater and joined it. He worked in so many television series like “Weeds”, “The Portrait of a Lady” etc, he won the prize for the best supporting actor.

His most popular television series were “Masters of horror”, “When Trumpets fade”. He has strong association with the director Hal Hartley, because he worked so often in his films.Martin Donovan now writes and directs the film, he has two children’s. He mostly worked in the television series and made his debut series regular named as “Wonderland”. He directed a film “Death Becomes Her” in year 1992, it was comedy movie and runned successfully in the cinemas.
