Have you heard of the rock band, ‘Queen’? The question sounds funny isn’t it?  Queenbeing such a popular rock band, there isn’t any meaning in asking such a question. However, as you read on you can get to know few facts about the rock band, ‘Queen’. ‘Queen’ was a rock band formed in 1970 in London with four members. The four members are Roger Taylor, John Deacon, Brain May and Freddie Mercury. The name ‘Queen’ was solely selected by Freddie. Though Brian and Roger weren’t happy with the name, eventually they accepted it.

The band started taking a new shape with the arrival of John Deacon in 1971. Under the production of Trident studios, the Queen team was able to complete their first debut album with perfection. Later the self-titled album was released in 1973, for which they could gain a little of public attention. Within a year, they launched their second album named ‘Queen II’.

They couldn’t get much response for the second album as that of the first, so they decided to go for a world tour in promotion of ‘Queen II’. Then after some hardships, the band launched the album ‘Sheer heart attack’, which was a success. After the huge hit of the third album, they came up with the most famous one ‘A Night at the Opera’.

With death of Mercury, the band took a long gap for the release of its next album ‘Made in Heaven’. Later the ‘Queen’ rock band started giving concerts in award ceremonies and charities.
