His talent to act was observed in the TV series Quantum Leap, a science fiction which was telecasted on NBC from 1989 to 1993. In this series, he played the role of a scientist named Sam Beckett. Later he returned to Television series in TV’s Enterprise. He played the role of Captain Jonathan Archer during the period 2001-05. Though few of his television series couldn’t get good response from the audience, the series ‘Quantum Leap’ was a real leap in his career.
