Scott Adsit – Voicing Great Comedies
Does the name of Scott Adsit ring any bell? For those who have been ardent fan of the comedy sitcom 30 Rock. Since 2006, this satire show has seen a rise in popularity while running on NBC and Scott Adsit, a co-star on the show subsequently gained fame, if of course he was not already acclaimed enough.
Forty six year old Scott started taking comedy seriously back into the 90s. His movie career started in 1998, when he earned a role in Temporary Girl as Seth the Agent. Since then he had appeared in 30 plus movies and other sitcoms, but it was unarguably 30 Rock brought him substantial recognition. If you are someone who find animation movies interesting and appealing, then you must have heard Scott’s voice even if you did not recognize him. Scott Adsit worked as a voiceover artist in a number of movies and was also closely associated with Adult Swim Company for several stop-motion animations.
His latest project is entitled Mary Shelley’s Frankenhole, another animation movie created for Adult Swim. Scott Adsit has will be providing the voice for the majority of the lead characters in this show and he already finished the first season of the cartoon. Another season which started airing since January 22nd has earned both popularity to the show and an award for Scott.
In 1994 he was acclaimed as the best comedy actor and earned a Joseph Jefferson Award. Another popular appearance of Adsit was in the Tenacious D TV series, in which he played the role of a demon and neighbor of the band members. Scott Adsit has a promising future, as his career with Adult Swim is far from nearing an end and the quality of their stop-motion cartoons have only increased, which is bound to pave a way for Scott’s success in the future.
