Meg Foster – An Actress Famous for Her Pale Blue Eyes

Meg Foster is an American actress born in Pennsylvania on 1969. She learned the basic classes of acting from the Neighborhood Playhouse in New York. Some of her stage credits are ‘King Lear’, ‘Barabbas’, ‘Three Sisters’, ‘Extremities’ etc. She started her mini screen career through ‘Cagney & Lacey’. Even though she appeared in the six episodes of this American television series, CBS was unhappy with her performance. So they replaced her with Sharon Gless. In this series, she played the role of the detective, Christine Cagney.

During 1970s, 1980s and 1990s, Meg made guest appearance in many television shows. She entered into the big screen through a small role in the movie, ‘Adam at Six A.M.’. ‘A Different Story’ was an American film released in 1978. Meg played the lead role of a lesbian named Foster. She got nominated for the ‘Best Performance by a Foreign Actress’ in 3rd Genie Awards for her acting in the film, ‘Ticket to Heaven’. In this film, she played the role of Ingrid. This movie has won five Genie awards in other categories.

While considering the television series, her appearance in the episodes of ‘Hawaii Five-O’, ‘The Six Million Dollar Man’, ‘Three for the Road’, ‘Star Trek: Deep Space Nine’ etc are worth counting. Some other popular shows in which Meg appeared include ‘Bonanza’, ‘Barnaby Jones’, ‘Murder’, ‘Miami Vice’, ‘Xena: Warrior Princess’, ‘The Twilight Zone’, ‘Quantum Leap’, ‘She Wrote’,  ‘ER’, ‘The Cosby Show’ etc.

‘Masters of the Universe’ was a science fiction fantasy film released in 1987. Meg played the role of second commander, Evil-Lyn. She played the role of Holly Thompson in the science fiction movie, ‘They Live’. Some of the movies in which she played good roles include ‘Leviathan’, ‘Relentless’, ‘Blind Fury’, ‘Stepfather 2’, ‘Best of the Best 2’, ‘Immortal Combat’, ‘Space Marines’, ‘The Man in the Iron Mask’, ‘The Minus Man’, ’25 Hill’ etc. Her upcoming movie is ‘The Lords of Salem’ in which she plays the role of Margaret Morgan and is supposed to be released in 2012.
