Jessica Capshaw the Step Daughter of Steven Spielberg
Jessica Capshaw is an American actress born in Missouri on 1976. She is the daughter of actress Kate Capshaw. Her father was a high school principal and business executive. Her family later moved to New York for her mother’s modeling career.
Capshaw’s parents divorced when she was 3 and this little girl lived in her mother’s new world. Later Kate married the famous director, Steven Spielberg when Capshaw was 15 years old. Capshaw took a degree in English from Brown University. Then she went to London for joining acting classes at Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts.Capshaw married the co-founder of The Honest Company, Christopher Gavigan. Now she has two kids and she is expecting her third kid.
Her acting career started in 1999 with a guest appearance in the film, ER where she played the role of Sally. She did her first acting role in the television series, Odd Man Out in the same year. Capshaw appeared in some other movies including Big Time, Valentine, Minority Report, The Practice, The Mesmerist, The Groomsmen, Thick and Thin, The L Word, Blind Trust, One Angry Juror etc. In the movie, Minority Report, she appeared alongside Tom Cruise and this made her sign new roles in television series.
Even though she appeared in lots of movies, the role of Jamie Stringer in an American television legal drama, The Practice gave her wide fame. She also gave life to the role of Dr. Arizona Robbins in the famous ABC television series, Grey’s Anatomy. It is a medical drama television series premiered on ABC from 2005 onwards. Now this series is undergoing its eighth season and has huge number of audience. Capshaw joined this team from the fifth season as an attending surgeon in the show.Capshaw also guest appeared on the Fox television series, Bones in 2005. In that she played the role of Rebecca who was the ex-girlfriend of Seely Booth.
