Haylie duff is a beautiful young starlet with numerous talents. She is an actress, a singer, songwriter and a producer. She was born in 1985. Her father Robert Erhard Duff is a co-owner of a chain of convenient stores. Her mother ‘Susan Colleen’ was a film producer. Her younger sister is the famous American star ‘Hillary Duff’.
Since her childhood, she wanted to have a career in showbiz. So she started taking ballet lessons at a young age of 7. That has laid the foundations as a great performer.
Her early acting career was very impressive. She got a role in Houston Metropolitan Dance Company’s production ‘The Nutcracker’. She made guest appearances in television films and series like ‘Hope’ and ‘The Amanda Show’. But she became a teen star with television series ‘Lizzie McGuire’, in which she played role of ‘Amy Saunders’. After making a small cameo in ‘That’s so raven’, she got her first major break in the movies with ‘Napoleon Dynamite’. In this movie she plays the role of ‘Summer Wheatley’. This movie was a teen comedy.

She got her first Teen Choice Award. After her big break, she made cameos in films like ‘American Dreams’. She and her sister together dubbed for a movie ‘In Search of Santa’. Her next major appearance was in the television series ‘7th Heaven’. It was a family drama. However, the show was not very successful. But she bounced back and joined the Broadway cast of ‘Hairspray’. This musical was a big success. But sadly, after that, none of her movies made a mark. She acted in duds like ‘Nightmare’, ‘Love Takes Wings’ etc. Her recent appearances have been in the reality show ‘Legally Blonde: The search for Elle wood’ and movie ‘A Holiday Engagement’.
Her singing career has not been a disappointment. Her famous sound tracts include ‘In Search Of Santa’, ‘A Cinderella Story’, and ‘Material Girls’. She sang ‘A whatever Life’ for movie ‘Stuck in the Suburbs’ and ‘Sweetest Plain’ for movie ‘Raising Helen’. She has also written songs like ‘Gypsy Woman’ for her sister’s album.
Despite having such an impressive career, she is often compared with her younger sister Hillary and it is believed that Hillary has been the luckier one. But if we isolate her from her sister and see her as a different star, clearly she has made a mark of her own. Any comparisons with her sister are completely unfair.
