Derek Basco is an American actor, who gained popularity by acting in televisions and films. He was always appreciated for his talents in acting. Though he couldn’t get recognizable roles and climb better heights, he made his position in the best way he could. But he has done more than 15 films in his career. He began his career through minor roles in television and later to the movies.
He had three brothers and it is interesting to note that all of them are actors. Among the three brothers his younger brother Dante Basco was the most famous. He had done many major roles and has an established position among the Hollywood actors. His other brothers, Darion Basco and Dion Basco also gained much popularity. In addition to this they had a younger sister Amanda. Though he has a Filippino origin, he was born and raised up in Pittsburg, California.

This film told a story of a single dad and his daughter. This was his first attempt in this field.
The director of the film was a close friend and co star of his brother Dante Basco. The role of the father in the movie was done by his brother Dante Basco. The role of the daughter was done by his own daughter. The producer of the film was other than his wife Emily Cho Basco. More or less this was a ‘family’ movie. However it gained so much of public attraction.
