With technological and social advances resulting in a rapidly changing workplace, the careers which have been typified as the most promising for the course of the past decade have changed as well. As of now, five of the most promising careers include nursing, accounting, software engineering, computer systems analysis, and market research analysis. These careers have shown the most profound growth in the number of available positions and possess some of the most attractive median incomes.

Similar to computer systems analysis, the growth of jobs in the field of market research analysis can be considered to be directly linked to growth in business’ and the economic climate in general, a phenomenon currently taking place in the United States. With over 70,000 new jobs expected to exist in the field as businesses proliferate and require market research analysts to provide demographics and information on target audience, coupled with a median salary of $60,500 and a very advantageous opportunities in the field, possessing a degree in market research analysis is as lucrative as ever.
