Reinhold Begas was motivated to build this fountain through the Latony Fountain in Versailles and through the Roman Fountain of Bernini.

This fountain is surrounded by the sea nymphs, sea monsters, sea horses, huge turtles and the gigantic frog, they are part of this amazing fountain. This fountain is made up of white marble.
