Analysis of Diesel Engine Oil

The most common oil used in most engines is the diesel engine oil. The diesel engine is quite expensive to repair, and it is important that one knows how to prevent any problems or detect them early before further damage can be done. There are ways one can detect any problems with the engine by analyzing the oil in the engine.  This oil analysis helps one to identify problems with the engine before they exacerbate. There are certain laboratories that can do the analysis and detect problems before they spread to the entire engine. The problems that can be detected in this fashion are the presence of antifreeze. This causes failure of the engine.

The coolant normally leaks through the head seal, injector cup, air cooler or pinhole and make their way through to the engine of the car mixing with the oil. An analysis of the oil in the engine would detect the problem and necessary remedy taken to correct the problem.  An injector pump or fuel pump that is malfunctioning can allow oil to flow into the oil sump. An analysis of the oil would reveal the problem. Good car care determines the performance of the car. The better a car is maintained, the more efficient it would be on the road and vice versa. Maintenance does not just involve the care given to a car engine but also such activities as taking a car to a car wash for cleaning, etc. a petrol station is one place where one can take their car for certain maintenance procedures.
